About myqrkit
myqrkit is a free, browser-based QR code generator. It runs entirely on your device — no logins, no tracking, no upload of the data you encode. The point is simple: a tool that makes a QR code, gets out of the way, and does not try to sell you a Pro tier.
Who built it
My name is Onurcan Donmezer. I am a software developer based in Vienna, Austria. I have spent most of my career building web tools, and I made myqrkit because the existing free QR generators were either covered in ads or quietly uploaded the QR contents to a server.
Everything on this site is generated client-side using the open-source qrcode library. There is no backend.
Why I built it
I needed a WiFi QR code for the front door of my apartment, did not want to install another app, and could not find a generator that was both free of trackers and could handle the WiFi format properly. So I made one. Then I added URL, text, email, phone, and SMS QR types because they are trivial to support once the rendering pipeline exists.

The articles on the blog are written by me, from first-hand use. No AI-generated content is published without me having tested the steps myself, on my own devices. If something on this site is wrong, please email me at hello@myqrkit.com and I will fix it.
